'When the outcome drives the process we will only ever go to where we’ve already been. If process drives outcome we may not know where we’re going, but we will know we want to be there.' Bruce Mau

This is a one night only event offering an insight into the often chaotic yet enchanting creative process of graphic design, showcasing work from a collective of MA graduates from London College of Communication.

Although we work across many different media, such as bookbinding, screen-printing, video installation and letterpress, each of us has had a clear path in the conceptual development of our work. We wish to fuse these

concepts together and observe what is created when these paths are intertwined. In doing so as a collective we are creating something new, which shows that we are always changing, always progressing and never ending.

Valerio Oliveri

Valerio Oliveri, born in 1985 spent his childhood playing in a courtyard in the outskirts of Rome and cultivating a strange attractation towards maths.

It is in 1998 when his weird attraction with maths get dispossessed by a new growing interest, one towards visual language and communication.

That year he began writing graffiti and that passion became stronger and long-lived than the previous one, driving him to observe different forms of applied arts and leading him to study design. It is during University that his interest in graffiti starts making room for different kinds of experimentation. He will keep in touch with many of his friends from those years, some of them in the design and arts as well, with whom he still collaborates.

In the 2008, after completing his BA and gathering some work experience in both design and photography, bored and disappointed with Italy he decides to move to London to undertake an MA in Graphic Design at the London College of Communication having finished in December 2009.

Currently jobless.

Nothing But The Truth
The main aim of this project is to analyse the sequence of events involved in shaping information and, above all, create a moment of reflection for both designers and audience regarding the power of rhetoric and therefore visual language in visual communication.
