'When the outcome drives the process we will only ever go to where we’ve already been. If process drives outcome we may not know where we’re going, but we will know we want to be there.' Bruce Mau

This is a one night only event offering an insight into the often chaotic yet enchanting creative process of graphic design, showcasing work from a collective of MA graduates from London College of Communication.

Although we work across many different media, such as bookbinding, screen-printing, video installation and letterpress, each of us has had a clear path in the conceptual development of our work. We wish to fuse these

concepts together and observe what is created when these paths are intertwined. In doing so as a collective we are creating something new, which shows that we are always changing, always progressing and never ending.

Anna Kendler

Having left my native Germany over ten years ago, I completed my BA Graphic Design at LaTrobe University in Australia. I have lived and worked as a graphic designer in London for over four years and, like my fellow students from this show, recently completed a MA in Graphic Design at London College of Communication.

I work predominantly in print design – I love the texture of paper, the smell of the ink on the page and how different formats, folding and binding can completely change the look and feel of printed materials. Because I am passionate about the outdoors and our environment I try to apply sustainable principles to my design approach wherever possible – sustainability became a fundamental part of my major project throughout the MA.

Little Green Fingers
Little Green Fingers is all about getting young families to get into growing some of their own food. The starter pack contains month-by-month instructions explaining step-by-step how to grow food at home and contains illustrated throughout as well as interactive experiments fun facts about different vegetables. All materials throughout were recycled and in turn can be recycled: the box is made from bio-degradable material so that it can be used as a plant container and in turn can be planted directly into the ground.

Also shown here are Being Twenty poster – a workshop using low-tech only, Emotions posters – mapping forty participants emotions in London and a process offcut book made from screen printing experiments.
